I DID IT!!! I finished my National Novel Writing Month Novel!
Crossed the 50,000 word finish line about 10 minutes ago. Yowzah!
BOY am I glad that's over with! I'm going to let this puppy marinate for at least a month before going back to it and seeing if it really is worth kneading and stretching and shaping and coloring to try to make it worth actually sending to publishers/agents.
Now I need to get the word count posted, and put my Winner's Badge up!
my interests, updated: science fiction, mysteries, science, history, and science history; and Paris and writing and sketching and knitting and sewing and, oh, whatever else comes up

Yeah, Terry! Congrats on finishing Nano. I can not do it. That's too much for me. I'm lucky if I can get 50,000 in one year!
I used Scrivener this time and I think that really helped. That, and some attitude adjustment. But having a little ticker right next to the manuscript on-screen, keeping track of the day's word count, really helped me keep pounding away.
